First he received the coveted call to work a fellow official's 1,000th game.

Now he's been summoned to work the lines in the Stanley Cup final, which opens Saturday night in Chicago.

It's been quite a season for Stratford's Steve Miller.

"It's a tremendous honour to be in the NHL, let alone being asked to work the final," Miller said Thursday, just before he tucked son Nolan, 2, and daughter Emersyn, 1, to bed. "It's obviously an exciting time and it feels great being a part of it."
